    ... we were staying. The journey was great in that it gave us good views of quite a bit of Malta, and the temperature read-out at the front said 18C, so we were very happy! Our overriding impressions were of grand-looking houses interspersed with derelict ones, and fields separated by rubble walls or hedges of prickly pear.
