... and they pretty much kicked him off, the jobsworth facist women-haters. We were quite depressed with ourselves considering we then had to pay out another £76 to get down to London, but I guess if this is the worst of our travel cock-ups for a seventh moneht world trip I guess we should 'quit the *****in....'
Bangor, Wales, United Kingdom thegaddabouts... And if you walk around them clockwise three times, that night you will dream of your wedding - if you walk 3 times anticlockwise you will have a nightmare!
We also visited an Ancient Celtic cross, probably from 6-7th century - amazing
Most of our day was spent at another sea side town - Aberystwyth. We took a little clunking old railcar to the top of the coastline with some amazing views. Then for lunch we sat ...
... and threes from hill walks and the pub. Louise had cooked some wonderful curry for everyone. It was much appreciated. The kids watched Merlin on Louise's TV and Nick and I caught up with the friends we haven't seen for a while. It was a lovely evening.
Eventually the kids got to the whiny, scrapping stage and we made a swift exit, (before the Club decides not to invite us back again). It was well past midnight when we finally got home and rolled straight into bed.
... had torches, otherwise... The worst was one guy jogging up with a massive backpack. As he ran past me I wondered if he'd just lost a bet and was having to do this as a forfeit... What was that about??!
Anyway, we were home by 8, in ...
... we had breakfast and left by 9:15 and by the time we had dinner on the way home it was 8:00 PM. Gordon never complains and we are so pleased with his touring us.
On the way home from the canal trip we took a sight seeing trip to Angelssy which is North West of Wales and is a separate island. It is a lovely sea village with many boats.

... and shooting pictures of the beautiful waterfront and castle. I set about shopping and I have had fun doing that on the trip! Here is a photo of the castle as well as a photo of the view from our room. We have a room in a cottage instead of the main house this time and it is very nice. Tomorrow we are headed to Snowdonia Park in the mountains.
There is no internet access so I hope to post these next two entries soon!
Group of 25 headed up Snowdon in celebration of Andy Duggards retirment.
Brilliant time was had by all, probably the best retirement I have been on (obviously sponsored by Carlsburg)
Congratulations Andy.
Proved to be a good last workout before we go - calves are feeling the effect though.
Well done to those that completed this mountain for the first time - Scafell next!
... just had to get out and take some snaps. Just admiring the beauty of the landscape we drove towards Caernarfon through Snowdonia National park, passing through Capel Curig & Llanberis. Scenic shots galore!!
We arrived in Caernarfon to stretch the legs and had a little wander through the seaside town. Caernarfon Castle is the main attraction of the town, probably the most famous of all the Welsh Castles, due to its size and grandeur. We ...
... little Italian village on the west coast of Wales. We read that if we had lunch at this sort of castle place place before Portmeirion, we wouldn't have to pay an entry fee to Portmeirion as that would've been included in the cost of the lunch. However, we missed out on lunch by 10 minutes, even thought the brochure said that lunch was served until 2.30 - and it was only 2.10 - they wouldn't let us eat and kept saying there was an error in the brochure! We really only wanted to eat ...
