      Welcome to my travelling blog. If anyone is at all interested this can be a quick and easy way to update lots of different people all at once so enjoy if you fancy some bedtime reading! So I've had my last weekend at home. It's been emotional of course ;) and I'm starting to really realise the big trip is fast approaching. About time! I've had my first practise pack...it was beneficial I promise...and I'm considering doing another JUST to check ...

      ... which is a big change but I'm starting to get in the routine and loving it! The kids are so cute and friendly, with two of them drawing Shana and I some pictures to decorate The Lodge with (I've put a photo of one of them!).

      Peterborough is beautiful - the town and country is just incredible. Looking forward to exploring some more this weekend :)

      ... mix of guests is awaiting my arrival. It is so exciting, the challenge, the adventure have stimulated me.       ... to it, that I could have touched it! Hanging next to the Armada Portrait were a very well known painting of Jane Seymour by Hans Holbein, as well as well known portraits of Mary Tudor and their younger brother Edward. Before leaving the Abbey, I went through an area called The Grotto. The Grotto contains carvings of different sea objects and is covered with ormer shells from the Channel Islands. After leaving the Abbey, I made sure to have afternoon tea at the Duchess' Tea Room.

      ... as the dragon palace or the rainbow palace based on the different interpretations of the decorations on the walls. From the top of the palace one of the nine palaces you could look back to the king's palace which was several miles away and you could see all the more recent buildings which were within the original area.
