I had a massive to do list still. Packing and writing 8 months of birthday cards got done (24!), many other things didn't:- mowing lawn, popping into work to say hello, fleaing cats.... But did dilapidate! Some house things I will just have to leave for Helen and Dave - sorry I did not get more done. My 'light' packing: recommend: 10kg, but must be less than 15kg - didn't quite go to plan - 14.2kg - but it's cold at night (2C) in Perth ...
Only a few days until the off. Planned to rest my legs this week but with the weather looking so good and the thought of Monday traffic I cycled into work. Lovely ride in, 1 hour 2 mins. Not a record, but it is not a race.
I still can't believe Mo went and got a different bike for the ride with only 5 days to ...
Today was my one day off this week.
Last night a friend, Alana, and I made the impromptu decision to go to Camden Market today.
So at around midday I met her and we headed off!
It was pouring! And COLD!
Poor Alana didn't wear decent shoes and neither of us had umbrellas.
First stop was the stall with big jackets! Didn't buy one, but I ...
... day started off grey, but fairly mild, and this afternoon there is actually blue sky!
I am impressed!!
We then managed to meet up with my cousin Nick, who I hadn't seen for about 24 years.
Nick is an Opera singer and does a fair bit of travelling, so we are very fortunate that he is here for our short stay.
It was so fantastic to see him again, and the years seem to have just disappeared.

... I found a little public byway, which had now become ice instead of mud. I carried on for a bit, it was starting to get dark so I was keeping a good eye out. Found a big empty field, the gates were locked and no cows. There was a lonely tree in the middle, so I kept it company, and burnt a couple of its branches, to warm my feet. The snow must've been a foot deep in places, and my extremely well ventilated cycling ...
