    ... as we ran out of time last week. Parts of it were the 13th century gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, but it’s now mainly of Victorian vintage. It was well worth the return visit - a great house with lots to see and very interesting paintings, photos and momentos of the Montagus over the centuries. The Montagu family still live there (since 1538) so we saw only parts of the house - no bedrooms and only some of the reception rooms. ...

    ... strict dry programme means no alcohol is allowed if being caught we could send off home for it. So me, and my 2 friends drinking, chatting away and giggles even we had ONE cider!! -.- Realised the board gate is open and 10 minutes worth walk! We panic ran over and saw man driving on mini car one of my friend used his hearing aid card to take us! Finally arrived the board gate... HERE I OFF..... Keep eye out for next blog! ...

    ... to make it pack the best way I could. Eventually I got everything to fit. Just had to hope the last couple of bits would go in okay in the morning.

    Mid afternoon Alison and the girls came over. We played a few games, which were a lot of fun. Watched some Noddy. And the we all sat down for a roast dinner. Before long it was time say our goodbyes.

    Before I knew it, it was time to head to bed so I could get a good sleep before flying ...
