    Today we drove through more scenic countryside, on our way to Hexham, stopping of course for the photos at the border of Scotland and England. Near Hexham we visited part of the famous and very historic Hadrian's Wall, where there are still enough ruins to see where the various parts of a fort were.     This morning we left London ready to explore the English motorways.Jude excelled at reading maps and me less so at driving, it really has been a long time since I have driven a manual car, plenty of jerky entrances to roundabouts and intersections.     ... saying just get through or something....anyway, happy ending. We followed the now distinct path down, down again, and reached the car park below where we were met and taken to this hotel (ironically called the Wainstone Hotel), and hot showers, a drying room, good wifi and all comforts. This is part of the service, they will drop us back at the track tomorrow morning. There is nowhere to stay right on the track near here, so they all do this.     ... cases jammed in 'em. They were asking for co-operation for people to place smaller bags at their feet so we don't incur a delay when we might have to offload some hand luggage into the hold to free up some room. Thankfully we didn't have to do that, but still.

    Right, so bags are unpacked, washing is in, and I have a cuppa in my hand. I'm still covered in bites, but I had a fantastic couple of weeks! When's the next adventure? ;) ...
