    Another nice slow start, it is nice not to feel that I have to be up ready to meet a time of departure. Allan kindly dropped me in town as he was wanting to go in for another reason. So at about ten I wandered up the Main Street which I was surprised to see was cluttered up with lots of stalls selling all sorts, food and clothing.     I had the morning to myself as Ursula and Allan went to their Spanish language meeting. When they returned we had lunch and Allan kindly printed off my changed ticket for Monday.     I just totted up the total distance we pedaled between Rome and Canterbury - it comes to 1,892Km (or 1,182 miles).

    The ride from Canterbury to where Ian's car was parked near Gatwick was a further 137Km, split by the overnight stop at Tunbridge Wells.

    ... involved a south bound train from Waterloo Tube station, to Bournemouth. My grandad was lodging here with his neice Janice (Kates sister) and her husband Owen.We arrived at Bournemouth Station around 2.30pm. The trip cost 20 each, and took about two hours.
