          Today was our first day in the UK. Getting around in the car has proved to be very interesting. Not only are we driving on the left, but the rental car is a manual shift, having to use the left hand for shifting. David has spent much of the time with the front left wheel on the rumble strip or hitting a curb or two. Judging distance of oncoming vehicles is tough, as well as interpreting street signs.           Pretty excited and apprehensive now but that's expected. Miaomiao my friend in Beijing who studied at Soton uni will meet me at the airport and ease me into Beijing life, so essentially, i took the wimps way out.
