There is a separate lounge room for the Emperor, with a raised platform. The centre of the ceiling is raised and made of two layers of Japanese cypress wood, making it impossible to attack from above. There was a separate room for a bodyguard next door. The sliding doors and walls are covered in gold leaf.

WE ATE: - lunch at a really traditional Noodle bar where they cooked in clay pots and grabbed the noodles by hand out of the pot. -Botchan dangl sweets (3 different coloured balls of goo on a stick).
