Great staff, hotel and food. Service was great and it was clean with really helpful staff. 13km out of city but free shuttle bus to beaches and malls and taxis cheap.

Not close to anything, so plan to spend money on a taxi to get here if you land at night-- almost 48 km from the airport at night
There is a metro during the day that takes you all over, and then a public bus that drops off/picks up right outside the hotel, so a really good place if you're willing to do public transit
Free shuttle to a few shopping areas and beach
LOVELY staff- very friendly and beautiful English
    Beautiful rooms, rooftop pool
Has a restaurant , cafe, room service-- not that expensive, and food right in the hotel
There is a ex-pats "colony" just about 1 mile away with a FULLY STOCKED grocery store. I am a vegetarian and lactose-intolerant--- they had soy yogurt, soy milk, etc, and I was thrilled! Also, a great Thai restaurant with tofu in the same shopping plaza.

The dhow was prettily adorned with colorful dazzling lights which were creating the true Arabic ambiance. At the reception, Arabian hosts warmly welcomed us and showed great hospitality by serving us with traditional Arabic coffee and dates. The Arabic hospitality perfectly ...

... around our hotel just off Dubai Marina, close to the artificial Palm Jumeirah Island. This has to have the most skyscrapers in one place! Our guide book tells us they have all been built since 2005. They certainly have been packed in, and although there has been some attempt to put variety into them, it is a bit overwhelming. There are still quite a few being built including two between our hotel and the ...

As I waited to leave the hotel, I said goodbye to all the staff, whom had now become my buddies. There’s something about solidarity in illness that brings people together. I asked if we could take a selfie together, which we did, and off I went with Saif to the airport.

The food here is among the best I've ever tasted. Of course I'm speaking of the Indian, Nepali, and Pakistani food, I have not tried the Arabic food yet. Where else can you enjoy “Chicken Hyderabadi” and “Lamb Peshawar” with a big glass of yoghurt “Lhassi”, for less than 4 bucks ...
