Great staff, hotel and food. Service was great and it was clean with really helpful staff. 13km out of city but free shuttle bus to beaches and malls and taxis cheap.

Not close to anything, so plan to spend money on a taxi to get here if you land at night-- almost 48 km from the airport at night
There is a metro during the day that takes you all over, and then a public bus that drops off/picks up right outside the hotel, so a really good place if you're willing to do public transit
Free shuttle to a few shopping areas and beach
LOVELY staff- very friendly and beautiful English
    Beautiful rooms, rooftop pool
Has a restaurant , cafe, room service-- not that expensive, and food right in the hotel
There is a ex-pats "colony" just about 1 mile away with a FULLY STOCKED grocery store. I am a vegetarian and lactose-intolerant--- they had soy yogurt, soy milk, etc, and I was thrilled! Also, a great Thai restaurant with tofu in the same shopping plaza.

Today has been long after arriving at the hotel at 8am. We managed to get our room early and get some sleep before exploring this awesome city. I wasn't overly bothered about coming here but we love it. Its really clean and holds a lot of world records for basically having the biggest of everything. We did loads of walking around today which was …

... que. The last leg of the journey was the worst, 19 stops on the metro at rush hour. At least i managed to get a seat a couple of stops after the airport. A woman came on and just stared at me as if to say go give me a seat, sorry i would but im needing this more than you right now haha. I came home to a very quiet house. Mum was already in her bed because of brunch and abbie and davie were out a walk. So there it is, my shortest holiday ever and another country ticked off my ...

... Susan's 50th Birthday present. Getting out anywhere is really funny as everywhere is inside and air conditioned so the streets seem bare, the shops face inward and it almost seems like a ghost town. You need to find the entrances to anything but once you are in there are whole new worlds to discover. We found the gold souk and immediately went to the same shop we bought jewellery last time. They had a nice range but we decided to take a look around . The ...

This is our last full day of our holiday. The weather is similar to yesterday but seemingly hotter and even more humid. It is simply stifling. We decide to try the other major restaurant for breakfast which is the Saffron Restaurant. It is similar to the Kaleidoscope and the array and quality of food is first class.

We conclude breakfast and on the way back to our room we stop and visit the shops that are in the hotel. ...

... it was so appropriate for our final hours in Dubai and as I said already, i had a tear in my eye as the song, lights and water worked in perfect harmony, I think Douglas might have too! lol I would defiantly say it is a must see and defiantly think its much more beautiful in the evening. And so after all that excitement, and having made sure our hangovers were well and truly out of our systems we made our way back to Abu Dhabi, to meet up for the next part of our adventure with ...
