Great staff, hotel and food. Service was great and it was clean with really helpful staff. 13km out of city but free shuttle bus to beaches and malls and taxis cheap.

Not close to anything, so plan to spend money on a taxi to get here if you land at night-- almost 48 km from the airport at night
There is a metro during the day that takes you all over, and then a public bus that drops off/picks up right outside the hotel, so a really good place if you're willing to do public transit
Free shuttle to a few shopping areas and beach
LOVELY staff- very friendly and beautiful English
      Beautiful rooms, rooftop pool
Has a restaurant , cafe, room service-- not that expensive, and food right in the hotel
There is a ex-pats "colony" just about 1 mile away with a FULLY STOCKED grocery store. I am a vegetarian and lactose-intolerant--- they had soy yogurt, soy milk, etc, and I was thrilled! Also, a great Thai restaurant with tofu in the same shopping plaza.

Today has been long after arriving at the hotel at 8am. We managed to get our room early and get some sleep before exploring this awesome city. I wasn't overly bothered about coming here but we love it. Its really clean and holds a lot of world records for basically having the biggest of everything. We did loads of walking around today which was …

... time to say goodbye-Dubai arrived. Megan and I have been traveling for more than 20 hours since we left Dubai with a 3 hours layover in Istanbul. We had to say bye to Lindsay until next week and I felt we were entering the aircraft without the third and very important part of

... down the road he told us that we had five minutes to get rid of it. This was not an easy task as it wasn't the nicest beer. When we arrived at the entrance he said hide the cans and the. Looked at the cabbie and said 'ill give you a good tip sir'. This was to make up for the fact that we were drinking alcohol in public- which is highly illegal in Dubai. It was not the best weather a sandstorm covered the sky and rain was threatening - two things that are quiet rare in Dubai. The ...

      ... time.

In the evening I went over to Nino’s for a drink with her family and then I was back for an early night. The next day I was off. I had a eleven hour journey by bus and train to Guwahati, and arrived back at Raj’s late at night. Raj was unfortunately not there, he was back on a ship, but I got everything done and caught my plane back to Kolkata on the 28th Dec. Everything was coming to a quick conclusion in India.
