... when everyone else cheers. Messi ends up scoring near the end of the match to win it, but Iran had some chances and you could tell how badly the Brazilians wanted those chances to succeed.

Following the game, we head over to the Fan Fest for the Germany/Ghana match that is coming up. The Fan Fest is a free event, open to everyone, located in the middle of Copacabana Beach. It is open air, with a massive screen ...

... Victoria's first street scrap. No head locks though. Despite flying home before the World Cup, we managed to watch a game at the Maracana. Not the one we expected mind. I had looked up that Flamengo would be playing Bahia at 7.30pm which I thought was a bit early. So we arrived and saw very few people, but loads of helpers asking everyone if they needed help. ... to use the local bike system but after one hour on the internet, when we arrived at the rental station….there were not any bikes available. We kept walking and walking under the extreme heat. We "did" all Copacabana!. Once we found bikes, we could not get the system work because the beach wifi did not work. Great. So finally we went to a rental shop and in one minute, we got four nice bikes to go to Ipanema.
It is easy to see how people who Ipanema ...
