Set off from home just before 2.30pm. Had a good ride over on the motorway as you do. Got within 48miles of Manchester City and we had to drop down to 50mph then 40mph because of queueing. So had a steady run then it picked up again, then we came upon more queues. Then incident ahead which appeared to be roadworks. We were pleasEd to get off the M62 onto the M60. Geoff had already checked where we needed to be on Google ...

Once landed, I had about 2 hours until my next flight over to Phuket, again, another enjoyable flight, this flight was 2-3-2 and I had 2 seats to myself so was able to relax, stretch out and get some sleep as it was nearing 24 hours of awake time. The track was about 25km from our hotel so we arranged to meet Chris at the track when he arrived. By 12:30 the Warren Trio (see previous blog) was reunited and watching qualifying for British Superbikes.

Our Australian riders are well represented in British Superbike ...

... enjoyable. I had read so many reviews on trip advisor that we knew exactly what to expect. I think the people that find that journey tough have not done their research.

I would recommend that anyone going travelling writes a blog. This has been a chore a lot of the time but it is great that we can look back and remember what we did (with my terrible memory I need this) Also, it feels like people have lived through the experiences with us. It has been great ...

The journey is all fine and we arrive home on time.

We are greeted in Manchester by grey skies, a torrential downpour and a thoroughly miserable taxi driver who neither wants to take us to Hale or help with the luggage (he thinks there is too much and he is probably right).

Getting back to the house is lovely though. We unpack as soon as we get in, the boys fire ...
