... 40 it's Llandudno and by 50 it's the horrors of The Chelsea Flower Show (spare me please) A bit has changed since Every Han. I'm in a relationship now and a graduate. Two years of student loans and full time nightshift work means moneywise I'm better than before, despite having spent literally thousands this year.

In Every Han I experienced one of the coldest cities on earth, this time I'm eating my way through one of the hottest (not Eindhoven!)

... the Romans' building ability and especially their underfloor heating and drainage. We visited Housesteads this morning where we actually walked on Hadrian's wall. The highlight of this visit was however, spotting a badger out of his burrow and we have a photo to prove it. Apparently badgers are nocturnal so we were very lucky. Down the road a bit we visited another Roman fort but this one was pre Hadrian and still an active archaeological site. Vindolanda's claim to fame is ...

It raining and almost blizzard conditions when we arrive and very difficult to find accommodation, Eventually we get some and then rooms had to change because wifi wouldn't work, Enjoyed some nice fish and chips int he new ...

... where Jim was going was certainly a baptism of fire!

Paul and Sheila kindly allowed us to park Astrid on their drive where we managed to start unpacking and spent a comfortable night getting to know her, but without water or gas connections we were very thankful that Paul and Sheila gave us a key to their house. The next day we set off to Abingdon to see Anna, parking in a very scenic and comfortable HGV site provided by the Council. From there we returned to ...

... on a seat rotation. It stops arguments about seats and I have learnt the front I seats are the best seats on the bus. I had even planned to have an early night so I could be "bright eyed and bushy tailed" like our tour guide Tom suggested. Speaking of our tour guide Tom...He is still useless. Toby and I now play our own game of tour guides on the bus where we improvise for the lack of Tom's commentary.

    Next stop Edinburgh!
