    ... s a beautiful day for a drive! We do most of the drive straight up the M1 but as we near traffic at a stand still we decide to take the A road. This is the England we have come to see. Beautiful green rolling hills sectioned by grey walls - making the perfect patchwork.     ... learned that the area of the labrynith was able to survive with no water. Wow!!!! Following this visit to the gardens we headed to manchester to see my sister, brother in law and niece and nephew. The GPS was great and took us on the country roads to avoid the traffic.     ... to get dressed for dinner.

    For dinner we went to Chaophraya - a Thai restaurant, which was decorated meticulously and very busy. The food was very yummy, but the entree came out in a heartbeat, the wine too long after that and then we had a long wait for our mains. However it was worth it. great food, good wine and atmosphere.

    Well that's all folks, left Orleans in France around 8:30am heading north to Calais. few stops for fuel and a stretch, arrived in Calais around 2pm to a lovely downpour.
