I have had a mixed bag of weather this last week. It has been predominantly cold and on a couple of occasions I even wished I had had my gloves with me. It also rained almost every day with one really heavy downpour which cleaned the outside of my motorhome beautifully. On one day whilst I was out walking there was snow in the rain! Not what you expect in August. Then, finally, yesterday the weather was hot and sunny and the shorts came out again - ...

So, some funny things we've noticed about England:

    1. There isn't a McDonald's (or Fast Food Restaurant) on every corner in every town.

    3. There is NO censoring on the television!
    4. Beans go with everything.
    5. Tea is everywhere and served in every room. S**k it you coffee ...

... and was soaking wet. Her boyfriend said that she was really scared and asked us what they should do. We gave her a sweater and some extra gloves and some chocolate- covered cranberries to eat. Then we said we should go. We headed down a different trail that followed the railway tracks to Llanberis, as was the easiest way down. It was terrible weather for awhile along the top ridge, but slowly improved on the way down. Halfway down the sun finally ...

Val and I actually managed to get up at 7:30 am and do our loop run in Hyde Park. It wasn't hot but it was muggy. After that, we packed up, checked out of the Thistle Kensington (where we were staying), and caught a taxi to Euston Station. Along the way we passed the house where the ex President Mushariff of Pakistan is living, complete with police armed with automatic weapons. I've heard that his neighbour is Tony Blair. We got on the train to Chester, and actually ...
