Interesting facts: -Liverpool hosts the largest cathedral in the UK, standing at over 100 m - the Adelphi hotel is the oldest in Liverpool, it's grand room windows are exactly the same as the windows of the grand room in the titanic (same designer created both) apparently if you eat there it is the closest you can get to replicating how it would have been on the titanic -Queen Victoria loved this ...

... city centre is very interesting and has a number of medieval and Tudor buildings and original Roman walls. Much of the architecture of central Chester looks medieval and some of it is but by far the greatest part of it, including most of the black-and-white buildings, is Victorian, a result of the "black and white revival".
