    ... Beatles played nearly 300 shows. It was a pretty surreal experience to sit watching a local guy play some Beatles covers on the exact stage the band used to play on. Another exhibit we saw was part of the Maritime Museum on the docks.     We spent a couple of days with Margaret, Mick, Elizabeth and Holly (Robert's sister, brother-in-law, daughter and grand-daughter) in a cottage in a small village called LllanfairTalhaiarn, 5 miles south of Abergele.     ... I am really doing this. Like most travel shows, the visa was the last piece of the jigsaw that I was waiting for and for a while it was a little touch and go whether all the paperwork I needed would arrive in time. However with one week to go, my visa appeared and now I can look forward to the inflight movies which I have not had the chance to see yet (including the Amazing Spider Man 2).

    first ever blog post! planning our big road trip to Canada in just over 3 weeks to be honest plans are pretty sparse so far, flights booked, car book & 1 night in Calgary.
