    ... I miss I-5 today!! The English motorway system is kind of . . . . . I guess "User Unfriendly" is the nicest way to put it. We spent much of our time on the M5, M6, M62, M60, M606 going well under the speed limit of 70 because it was so crowded - EVERYwhere! There was also roadworks along about 80% of the way and we saw approximately 4 road workers actually out working. It took us 7 hours to make a 4 hour drive.

    ... maker was born here in 1718, and there is a statue honoring him near Manor Sq. I walked over to get a photo and noticed that someone has knitted him a yellow hat. probably for the Tour de France.

    ... is an old pub/carvery that has a kid's play-for-pay facility attached. I assume that is so parents can enjoy their pints and/or dinners while watching their kids in the playroom. The kids seem to love it.

    Just down the road is another slightly larger town of Burge Le Marsh, which also featured in her family’s history. The church and cemetery here were in a better state, even though of a similar age, but there appeared to be more money in town for the upkeep.
