Charles: Well the big hills day is now behind us, thank goodness for that, as my legs are absolutely shattered. Nice rolling hills today with lots of flat smooth roads, although Graham does insist on taking us up some real rough old roads if we're having it too easy. No punctures or breakdowns today so our average speed increased to 15 mph. My tip from Graham today is "don't just eat one snack bar when you can have two" ...

The further I got from shelter, the heavier the rain got until eventually I relented and stopped under a tree to put a waterproof on, realising when I did that I also had Julie’s waterproof with me.
