    Day Sixty Six: Barnsley

A travel blog entry by lcrigby on Jun 11, 2015

The sun was streaming though the window this morning, it was going to be a belter of a day. We didn't go for a walk this morning as we were heading off to Shaw Lane cricket ground in Barnsley as Yorkshire second XI were playing against Northampton second XI in a twenty20. The big drawcard for the game was that Aaron Finch was returning from an injury and playing ...

Halfway through my 6th over we had to come off for rain and bad light as the sky was very ominous and the heavens opened up briefly. After being off for half an hour we got back on and I had to finish my over bowling off spin. The first one landed and actually spun which surprised everyone, no one more ...

... stop we then went to Kay's where we will be staying for the next 5 months. It was only a brief introduction as we dropped off our luggage and went to the pub for lunch. The folk at the pub looked a bit rough but the meals weren't too bad and they were fairly cheap. After lunch we went back to Kay's to unpack our bags and get ourselves settled in. It was a little bit emotional as the realisation of this is going to be our home for the next five months sank in. ...
