    ... are out by the thousands, eating, drinking, smoking and connecting with their neighbors. Such a vital time at night. But with our long day we decided to just go out from 7:30 - 10:30pm then head back to our hotel and into bed. Chris' pedometer marked we walked 11 kilometers today. And now my feet feel like it. So happy to be here. Special thanks to Cliff and Sandy who gave a condensed version of Rome....as we are going to Florence ...

    ... to my next 7.5 hours flight from Frankfurt to India!

    At least we flew on an A380, the biggest Airbus in the world! Having flown on one of these planes last year when Michel and I travelled to Bangkok, Thailand, I looked forward to this flight with Lufthansa even though our seats were a little bit more in the back.

    Train ride to Frankfurt

    ... our tastes. On a shared table, we met some locals who recommended we go to the Main Tower, art galleries and a Vietnamese or another Italian place around the corner.

    Weather cold (about four degrees?) but not wet or windy like the Netherlands.

    Both really tired, having spent hours with a crying baby last night. so had a very early night. Our accommodation is small, clean and fine, but lacking in somewhere to sit and hang out. Paying 80 euros per night.

    ... but I'll take it. Even when things went haywire, such as waking up the morning of our trip only to have our flight cancelled, we maintained our sanity and marriage quite nicely. I think the key there is knowing you'll have problems during the trip and to not allow it to ruin everything. You've just got to roll with it. It also goes to show just how compatible we are.
