... and it was honestly so much fun!!! We counted down in Romanian and then the fireworks and singing only got more insane hahaha. It was such an incredible night, and so different to what we're used to for New Years with the weather and traditional singing and dancing! We also spoke about Communism. I got a completely different view, more worldly, more open. The communists, as most of us might agree, were the big bad guys. Gabriel, to my surprise, spoke of some good in those days. He mentioned how car insurance today is too high, so he cannot sell his old car to buy a new one. He said he got this car during ...

... mishmash in order to get a repair done. Between dodging the cars all over the sidewalk (as well as the waiting people) and the men repairing the sidewalks with wires and tar and brooms all over the place, it could be a bit of a dance getting in to town.

I stopped on the way in, for my pasty from a walk-by window. I was still guessing as to contents, but they were all so delicious it really didn't matter. Every morning there were line-ups ...
