... game on television. Switz**land was playing *****ia in Abuja in the final of the world cup of 16 years and young** play**s. The young play**s w**e impressive, and having had the exp**ience myself, I could imagine what it must have been like for the young Swiss to arrive for the first time in *****ia in West Africa.

It was a v**y good day today. Tomorrow if all goes as planned I’ll fly back to Paris and pick up a car to continue my visits.
Lac De Joux, Switzerland joelmeeker... the world. Some subjects were closer to home: the perils of driving in the snow during the Swiss winter, the relative merits of having one’s own fruit schnapps distilled, and the joys of gardening on which all my friends here agreed.

It was a wonderful meal and an exceptional evening. The Giauques having a two hour drive before them, left about 9:00 and that was the signal for others to begin leaving too. I will head to bed early again tonight.
Trélex, Vaud, Switzerland joelmeeker... hear from the highway out toward the clearly-visible lake, it was a restful walk. We arrived back in the house around 5:30 and had dinner around 7:00. We talked of many things: school, and jobs and retirement (Mr. Vernaud recently retired), Church history, the B&B, current affairs in our church, the swine flu, international relations and prophecy, to name a few.

By the time we finished dinner I was quite tired so I retired about 9:00 and am hoping for a good night's sleep.
Trélex, Vaud, Switzerland joelmeeker... country, not S.C.

So now at least I had been given a soft seat and a new poster to stare at. This one was of L'Orielle Humaine, the human ear. I believe I can now draw an anatomically-detailed perspective of the human ear that would be worthy of entrance into Grey's Anatomy book, down to the microscopic level, which was also included. I was left to stare at that poster for quite some time. Aprroximately :34:06 ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland trockie... of. The Chateau de Joux.

At 4:43 pm we crossed the Swiss border. It’s not part of the EU so it still has border checks. We didn’t have to stop. We stopped at the next gas station to call our host to find out where to meet her. We had some difficulties, but we eventually made our way there. We made our way to her apartment. Her boyfriend had an unexpected business trip, so it was just her and ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland thematts... so I enjoyed listening to people talking. There is a great walk along the lake. There is a strange sculpture of a fork sitting in the water- not sure of the story behind it, but it makes a good photo. We walked to the harbour to confirm the time that the boat was heading back to Lausanne and there was one pulling in that was heading to Montreux before going to Lausanne, so we hopped on and did the scenic trip back to Montreux , then onto Lausanne. We were so lucky ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... train station, in fact it was right on the railway –we could literally walk up some steps and down a platform and we were on Number 9 platform. Luckily our room was on the other side of the building and we had a view (in the distance) of Lake Geneva. We had 4 bunk beds in a private room and our own private bathroom across the hall. We were ...
Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland kiama_on_tour... which runs to Vevey a town where Nestlé has based its world headquarters. I showed Guy, Erika and Nelson around Lausanne during which time Nelson had a blast! We had lunch at a restaurant that I went to during my second week in Switzerland; I wish I could remember the name, but it has the most amazing salad, with this bacon-infused salad dressing...mmm. We didn't spend too much time after lunch as we ...
Chexbres, Switzerland rheingold... orderliness or am creating chaos. The quintessential Swiss scene to demonstrate this is an intersection late at night. There are 5 roads crossing in a complex order of arrows, lanes and tram lines. However, there is not one car to be seen. But yet, there is a person standing at the red light waiting for the little green man to start flashing so they can cross the street without danger. And they are probably going to eat bread and cheese.
Gland, Switzerland lcridd... I wondered if they had flushing toilets. It seemed to be a very peaceful place (Pictures 24-25). We continued past this house and found an extremely steep descent. At first it didn't seem too difficult but after a few minutes of slowly fighting the loose rocks to maintain balance, we both realized that we were probably alone on the mountain for a reason (Pictures 26-28). Julie had a more difficult time than I and I could tell she was really scared. The amount of small ...
