Beautiful pools, restaurants and beach. Direct access to the boardwalk. Great breakfast. Rooms leave a little to be desired, but the excellence of the rest of the hotel easily makes up for that.

A distant but smooth boat ride left us back on the docks of Labuan Baju. Yet there were still some debts to settle before our departure. Due to our previous unfortunate encounters with ATMs, or lack there of, we set out to right this wrong only to be faced with the same outcome, not working. Four different ATMs later we finally found someone …

... Elsewhere that would cost double. Then in contrast we had to stay in Denpaser the night we arrived and I sent Spen to check the room, he returned saying he had taken it, it was fine. It was 275,000IDR and terrible! Filthy sheets, bathroom door didn't close so Ru kept going in there and hurt his head. 2 tiny single beds. Filthy bath. Dirty walls. A motorbike park outside! Thanks Spen- needless to say, I've checked the rooms from then on! * Sanur. Ok, so it has the ...

... also put on the dashboard of vehicles, and it strikes me that with the erratic driving here, faith and divine intervention is much needed! Although, they are probably most needed on the island's million or so mopeds! Driving down the road, it is far from uncommon that a motorcyclist will just sail straight out of a sideroad, across the flow of traffic, without looking. If something is approaching, they will just hurriedly steer to the right and pass between you and the curb, going ...

... have the guts to jump in on one of those matches. Those dudes were good and awfully flexible. The following day we had scheduled a tour of the War Remnants Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels. This is where the fun ended. The museum shed light on a war I was too young to remember. Having the story told to me from the side of the Vietnamese left my heart feeling extremely heavy and many questions still unanswered. Why did the United States feel so compelled to engage in a war that ...

      Day 3
We hired a car and driver to take us around the island. We
started by picking up Mayuri's shirt and then heading to the Monkey
Forest. The forest was awesome with a really nice layout with paths
leading throughout the woods to three temples also, but the monkeys
freaked us all out. There were quite a few that had open wounds and they
were very aggressive because they are TOO accustomed to being around ...
