      ... pinnacle rock formations that one would see on many of the travel brochures. Some people were still swimming and paddleboarding this time of year but heather and i just did some light hiking around the coves.

      We flew to Algarve (Faro), Portugal for $2289.66 USD (1831.88 Euros). When we arrived there we stayed in a hotel called "sleepin Faro" for $17.81 USD (14.25 Euros).       ... where we are "hurricane hole" so we are very well protected. We have got no neighbours just birds (storks and herons) and shellfish around us and it is extremely quiet. So quiet that it is almost strange! From time to time we walk to the village of Culatra which is a 25 minutes walk on the beach when the tide is low. It is a lovely village where there are no cars and no roads and just sand everywhere. Culatra island is basically a long sand bank which is 5.9 Kms ...

      ... Portuguese to holiday. We all had a nice time at the beach, although no one got in the water. It started out quite windy, and although this eased off a bit eventually it definitely wasn't as hot as some of the last few days. But it was all nothing a few cocktails couldn't fix! We found a nice spot at a bar right on the waterfront & it was great just to sit & have a couple of drinks looking over the beach! We all felt better for having a relaxing day. We caught the 4pm ...

      ... was started in 1501. Just stepping into the courtyard or looking inside the church there it's not hard to imagine why it took so long either. The detail carved into the stone it is built from is not only stunning but amazing to think about the time & skill but into it .
