... it got dark at 3pm every day we would venture out into the Christmas markets and enjoy the atmosphere of Pest at Christmas time! Mulled wine was had, aimless wandering was beautiful considering everything was lit up and we got a feel for another country’s culture around this time of year – absolutely lovely!

... they had back when the construction was taking place, the king put out a request for eggs to be sent in from all over the kingdom (apparently eggs, when hardened, made for a stronger bind). In addition to the request for eggs, wine was also incorporated into the mortar, making for a rather intriguing blend of resources to complete a project. Our guide told us the Czech people were quirky and weird, now I believe her.
