The Art Deco Imperial Hotel has lovely period artwork and its location is perfect for walking to major sites in Prague. Our room was sunny and comfortable and equipped with complimentary coffee & tea. The staff were friendly and helpful in providing information and directions. The hotel was clean and the Imperial Café served a delicious buffet breakfast. We had dinner in the Imperial Café and were pleased with the quality, selection and presentation of the food. An excellent choice for a hotel in Prague!

Late brekkie, then coffee & cake at the Art Deco Imperial Cafe. Then it was time to go to the airport for our flight to Dubai. Patrick's dad Roman drove us to the airport & showed us some more sights of Prague on the way!.

... and to think about the history that had taken place there. The performance of Cosi Fan Tutti that we saw was also wonderful, and all our students looked so lovely, and enjoyed themselves. As we walked back across the Vltava and saw the beautifully illuminated castle, cathedrals, and Hapsburg buildings right and left, I think we must have been in a dream, or at least a scene from Amadeus. Magical !

Wishing everyone a night as lovely as ours was....

    ... to our hostel.

As we headed to the ticket office, we heard a piano playing. A young musician had bought his big piano into the station and placed it on a carpet! It was beautiful, and we had heard Prague was home to many talented musicians. In the crowd was a young girl with a Sydney keyring on her back pack. I asked if she was from Australia, and she said no, but that she went on school exchange there. She was really excited we were from Aus and helped us to buy a 72 ...

Well, on our first night in Prague Louie and I wandered down to Old Town. We saw Wenceslas Square and walked along the Moldova. We saw the astronomical clock and Tyn Church. We also cruised up the main drag to see the parliament building. Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It was founded during the Romanesque period and had two Holy Roman Emporerors and was the capital of the Holy Roman Empire at one point. There are tons ...
