  • I took a few photos of the city from the Starbucks (they're like a virus, they just keep spreading over the world)

    ... I arrived at the hostel, I ran into my Brit friend from Munich and we watched the soccer game. Such a small world! We then grabbed kebabs with other Americans and it was really cool how easily people get along at this hostel.     ... to fill out a wish list of things to do and see. One of the 'things' was to hire a motorcycle and ride the Nordschlieffe of the Nurburgring, and further on, take in the fabulous Schlumpf Collection which now forms the National Automotive Museum of France in Mulhaus, France, and the equally famous Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany.     ... over the camp we would find flowers placed where people were known to have died.
    We passed the memorials, we walked through the museum and learned all about the beginning of WWII and The Holocaust. It was very interesting to see different documents that were related to the concentration camp, and learn about those who were held here, and those who worked there.
