... This was a Sunday, don’t even think about a work day:The hot weather got hotter. Digital temp signs adorn the highways in many places and we saw air temp of up to 36C and tarmac temp of almost 50C. Now, that’s nothing unusual in our tropical climate where the sun is overhead, but here the sun by this time of year is on quite an oblique angle casting quite long shadows even in the middle of the day.In order to find some ...

I shouldn't be in charge of cutting potatoes with a head ache because I cut a little off ...

Lots of towers, a golden gate, a silver tomb(!!!), beautiful exterior mosaics, lots of carved stone. Also where King (St) Wenceslas is buried. Lastly we had a look down Golden Lane beside the palace where work men's houses once stood. Now they have painted each house a bright colour and every second one is a tourist shop. Some display tools and furniture from the tradesman that once lived ...

... clock symbolizes a reminder that with each tick we are closer to death...rather depressing, so we moved on. Also in Old Town Square we were shown the Church of Our Lady Before Tưn, which has two towers, one a bit higher than the other! Our tour guide told us a lot about the history of Prague, which was nice because I knew nothing about it. The Jewish Quarter was another stop on the tour and definitely one of the most interesting. It is now the ...
