... too early at the first venue and it was a little boring so we taxied back to La Troja and spent a few hours being covered in foam and dodging handfuls of flour, happily people watching, and enjoying the, music. Things got a liitle crazy around 1ish with foam and flour getting to close for comfort so we jumped into a cab and went home, where we cooled off by the pool for a bit.

Barranquilla has been a bit of a shock to the system after the peace of the jungle and the excitement of finding the, almost deserted, Lost City.

Here it is Carnaval. The party started before we got here, and it hasn't stopped since we arrived. Lots of music, lots of costumes, lots and lots of dancing. (In fact, as far away as Santa Marta, men were swarming the streets dressed as women and propositioning passing traffic.)
