... a "Welcome Home" - nice!

The rooms came with a complimentary afternoon tea - V said he was going to the gym - the rest of us had no such compunction. The afternoon tea delivered the works, from scones and sandwiches to cakes and creme brle. We were so ridiculously stuffed - definitely no dinner for us.

What a long day! If this was supposed to be a half-day itinerary, I wonder what tomorrow which is scheduled as a "Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour" will be like...

Then time to stock up with things needed for trip - like a pillow and some insecticide - and fit in a trip to the Aquarium - which was actually very good display of the variety of sea life around the cape

Next day was early start - with everything loaded into this ancient Landrover Defender - see picture and we were off.

8am bus departure today. We went up the coast road toward the Cape of Good Hope. A good deal of traffic out of Cape Town but, all in all, a beautiful drive. We stopped at an Ostrich Farm so most folks could get out and take pictures. A bit underwhelming but, most of the tour group was happy. We first went to Cape Point which is on the top of a mountain. ... primary school hall to see some of the childcare children graduate from childcare! None of my kids will be because I've got a younger class but I'm still going because On the playground you meet so many kids and it'd be cute to see them graduate! I also chatted to my teacher today about things I could do for the childcare centre to make a large difference with the donations people have made. We've started brainstorming so hopefully I'll think of something soon! Miss you all! ...
