      ... way to the waterfront. We have picked a bar/restaurant that has a wood fired pizza oven, and we are currently drinking beers while looking out over a beautiful little marina. It is very quiet - we really are at the end of tourist season. Most of the really big hotels and resort complexes are closed up until next summer.       ... surprising. It doesn't feel like Italy, and it doesn't look like Italy. We are staying in the top North East section of the Island, and spent today exploring the local area. There are marinas a'plenty here - very small, very boutique and interesting. Some have lots of really expensive yachts and others just have smaller rich men's runabouts. Most of the marinas have cafes, bars and restaurants. Not too many ...

      ... so I guess the water must have been leaking into the room below. Thankful that we walked to find the ferry the night before as I don't think we would have found it that easily in the morning. It was down and around a convoluted series of little streets.       ... ground floor level, stone floor with dome ceiling etc.
      Around this 3 level dome tower was a spiral staircase with an outer wall forming a dome over the whole structure. Google it. Just mind boggling. You think of bronze age as a bit dumb - not so. They were also seafarers. Travelling to Greece, Italy and Spain.
