A travel blog entry by jennifer63 on Aug 11, 2014

Great to get back on the bike today, er um for about 10 minutes. The temperature rose to 42.5 in no time and our Rukka textiles are not suited to this, we were literally baking inside our gear. Reluctantly but necessary, I took off my jacket and rode in a t-shirt for the first time ever, it was bliss but sooooo unsafe. A waterfall spouting ...

After hiking around, we went back to the van and continued our ride to Fethiye. It took about 3 hours to get there, but was a great drive. We never did manage to organise our Turkish tea ...

Arriving on land the Turk named Hector greeted us and took us to his restaurant where we then jumped on a bus and started the incline up the mountain. There was solo pilot's on the bus informing us of how high we were infact going, news to us as no one had asked anything. Kell and Tash were getting a little overwhelmed by the news of the hight and we all just laughed off what we were ...

... the Isle of Wight is from Mainland, which is used by tankers and yachts and fishing boats. On the way through we passed a group of swordfishing boats which are a sight! They are a fairly low freeboard small fishing vessel with a tall scaffolding viewing platform in the centre where crew stand to spot the fish. Then there is another long arm which extends over the bow maybe 40 feet or so where a man will stand with a fishing rod. They look top heavy and ...
