This morning I woke early, and was eager to get on the road to avoid traffic. I managed to get dressed, eat, pack, and be on the road with a cup of coffee to go by 7:45am! A bit road weary from the day before, I was worried about either getting lost or getting stuck in traffic again. Luckily, none of that happened and I rolled into Wolfeboro, NH by …

... quiet snowy this week which meant that the conditions were great, although visibility at times a challenge (or was that my age?).

Last year we tried Loon for the day. This year we ventured up to Cannon which was wonderful. Slightly more dated than WV, but fabulous trails, great food and a wide selection of craft beers.

It looks very pretty on the trees but the roads are a bit hazardous - picture Samih 'stuck' on hands and knees in the middle of our road!!! We saw a couple of deer the other day and there were moose tracks near the driveway when we arrived. We ford a stream which I was a bit hesitant at first and then realized with my new boots it would be no ...

This motel is set on Mirror Lake, a smaller but just as beautiful and much quieter lake. You have a lovely view of the lake from your motel/cottage, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely remodeled, and spacious. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
