This morning I woke early, and was eager to get on the road to avoid traffic. I managed to get dressed, eat, pack, and be on the road with a cup of coffee to go by 7:45am! A bit road weary from the day before, I was worried about either getting lost or getting stuck in traffic again. Luckily, none of that happened and I rolled into Wolfeboro, NH by …

... was full of sunny vistas and a setting sun. We arrived at Jackson Lodge just before sundown and booked into our room which is the nicest we've stayed in - it has it's own balcony overlooking the White Mountains. Just enough time for us to grab a drink and some ice before bed! Before we go, don't forget to click on the 'e-mail updates' button underneath our profile picture to get automatically updated when we add a new post to the blog. Over and ...

... got to the parking lot 30 minutes ahead of our schedule.

It is a wrap! This first hike trip in the White Mountains has been really cool, it's a place to be reckoned with in regards to the weather and hiking conditions. There are really hard hikes (Osgood on the Southbound loop for example), and the hut system is an awesome example of great organization, environmental awareness, and just a bunch of cool, real people that care and it shows.

Brad and Jim were thrilled to see us again and they took time away from their store front to visit with us in their office. Their turtle, Diane, deserved a visit too since ...

This motel is set on Mirror Lake, a smaller but just as beautiful and much quieter lake. You have a lovely view of the lake from your motel/cottage, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, nicely remodeled, and spacious. I would highly recommend this to anyone!
