... about one pair of cheeks turning red...you have to worry about that second set as well!

On our last day in Florianopolis we set out to visit Ilha de Campeche, which is an island about an hour away from Barra de Lagoa. It is now an ecological reserve. No one lives on the island and only 800 people max are allowed to visit per day. It was a beautiful spot with squeaky white sand beaches (yes the sand squeaked!) ...

      ... impossible.
The city center is very primitive as well.
It looks like the main attraction here are the ocean beaches.

      - Finally we found today a very colorful neighborhood (Ribeirao da Ilha) , and a very delicious restaurant there (Ostradamus) where we ate fresh oysters (see the attached photo). By the way, originally on this place was the first village on the Florianopolis (or Santa Catarina) island. Thanks for friendly Brazilian guys that recommended us this place.

... How do you know if somebody is a true friend? If they are willing to call your bank´s fraud department to commit fraud. Thanks again!
With my problem now rectified, booking tickets still seemed to be out of our reach, either because the seats were all now booked for tomorrow, or the bus company´s website was just ineptly obsolete. I think the latter. So in true winging it style we decided to just go to the bus station in Foz do Iguacu (a town similar to ...

... also kind of funny watching the drunk bees try and fly after being in our old cocktail cups.

It was time to check out more of this beautiful island. We had read about Armacao which was south of the island, the island is pretty small but it still took us 3 hours to get there. We had no accommodation booked and on the way there we met this couple that were talking to us about this hostel in town. With our not so good Portuguese and their bad English we eneded ...
