      ... have any trouble and we seemed to meet the nicest, friendliest people around. We arrived in the afternoon and the people here aren't kidding, it's a jewel of a city. The whole place is tucked between mountains and the sea and it just wanders its way along the coast.       ... we saw more birds and played spotlight with the alligators near the road. Our last day was a game walk for a few hours where we saw the cheeky coatis in the trees, a very timid deer and lots of birds, including two different types of macaws and a toucan. All in all it was a fun time in the Pantanal, but unfortunately we didn't get to see any anacondas, big cats or anteaters.       When the Beatles said they were bigger than Jesus, they´d obviously never visited the statue of christ (cristo redentor) that overlooks Rio (unlike the pope in 1980 and more recently and some would say importantly Carl and Laura in 2006!) because it´s bloody big!
