I am right now in the South of Brazil, colonized mainly by europeans (Germans, italians...) I took a night bus to Floripa (12 h) and there is a good place to visit some beaches in the Santa catarina island.
After these days I will be in the NGO doing the reforestation project, for two weeks. However I have some days before fliying back to Europe. I may be visit Iguaçu falls (Depending on money, of course)

The water is refreshing, not as warm as hawaii, but you can surf here without a wetsuit even though all brazilians have a full suit on.
