    2nd - 6th January: Buzios

We made our way to Buzios which is about 180km north of Rio De Janeiro or a 3hr bus ride. Buzios was known as a fishing town but is now more known for its beaches - having 17 in total. We had planned to go to Paraty and Ilha Grande however due to the New Year period the only accommodation was extremely expensive. So er opted for 4 nights in one place and less travelling distance. I don't really think you are considered an adult in the US until at least 21. Hit up some club ...

... It was great to hear an Aussie accent around. We meet two of Rio's placcy surgeons as well! - only in training. We enjoy a few Caprihinas by the bar and then head out to Lapa for a night filled with meeting loads of different people, amongst plenty of marriage proposals from the lads haha and a lot of dancing. Arrive back at 5am and crash out ...

... world. While I´m thinking of it, in Portuguese you pronounce Rio de Janeiro as "Hee-oh Gee Janiero". They love their juices in Brazil, and I have easily tried 20 new juices and fruits I had never heard of before, but they take it to a new level here. Juice stands everywhere. And you can get them with water or milk. Milk makes it taste like a shake. Soooo gooood..... Took one day just lay out on the beach with friends. Catching jacaré (body ...
