      ... found out at dinner it was Bills birthday –he “didn’t want to make a fuss”, but make a fuss is what we do best, and we were able to quickly order him a birthday cake which was brought to the table by singing waiters - Thanks MSC for being so obliging at such short notice!       ... we are bloody starving out here! Free hostel breakfast in the morning then trying to last out until 7pm to eat... Ģ250 a week budget is looking doubtful! Buzios is lovely, much safer atmosphere than Rio and the men don't seem as 'rapey', which is always nice!

      ... samba, but Carnaval in SF is like a kiddie parade compared to this. Every samba school is their own parade with 2500-4500 people. They also have their own song and they come out with a CD of all the songs from the different schools like a week beforehand, so by the time everyone gets there, they already know all the words. And even if you donīt know the words, you will learn them because each song gets repeated for the hour to hour and a half duration ...
