We got of at cassaniaveres- thought we'd made it but no...apparently we had to catch another bus and a lovely security guard who spoke no English at all offered to help us and he told us the bus number and gave the address to our bus lady ...

... She was staying in a different hostel so after a nice day of surfing and hiking I then needed to get back to my own hostel alone. The options weren't ideal; 2 local buses but there were very few if any as it was Sunday or a 2 hour walk or hitch hike. The latter became the best option given that it was starting to get dark. Hitch hiking is underrated. I got back in no time and for free!

With both a large lake and the ocean it's perfect for almost any condition. Although we wanted ...

Our first arvo we headed down to a beach bar to watch the sunset and then walked around the little town to check it out. Our hostel owner Jose said that fishing was good from the front of the hostel so we got out our rod and did a spot of fishing. Definitely didn't catch dinner in this case we didn't catch anything.

The next day when walking though the ...

... and exploring the nightlife. As a lot of Brazilians were on vacation the beaches were always full and the bars were no different. Relaxing by the beach enjoying the company of good friends and enjoying a few cold ones is what the festive season is all about. We met up with Marco and Chris over the next few days which was good to see them before we left Floripa.

After spending nearly a week down in Floripa it was time to head back to Sao Paulo to get ready for the New ...
