Our last day on the island was spent trekking to another beach 2 hours away called Dios Rios. This was a much easier walk being mainly on road. The beach was stunning with ************e on it. The sky ...

... It happened a number of times!

Another day, Lyndsay and I went for a hike to Cachoeira do Feiticeira, a waterfall within the rainforest. It was beautiful to see the views and nature. ... was amazing and she hasn't disappointed us yet. Sad news came through that my favourite Aunt Edna has just passed away in Wanaka. She was an absolute delight and always nearby in times of family crises. Such a wonderful lady. After the news the others waited for us and then we all headed out to a beach restaurant for dinner and a drink to celebrate Edna. Very touching for me. I also must thank the technology of today where I can keep connected for times like ...

... following a narrow sandy path I suddenly get the tingle of a deja vu. It must have been a time for crazy coincidences because I realized that I had been here before, over 10 years ago. While holidaying with my family in Brazil we had gone on a day trip to an island and despite not remembering its name the image of that beach had stayed with me all those years and I was sure it was the same.

Lopez Mendes certainly does not disappoint. Over 3 kms of beautiful white ...
