    ... drivers who ply the route at low tide, who weren’t pushy. Interesting to see a kingfisher offshore, fishing in the salty, rocky shallows at dusk.

    Popped into the plaza later for an expensive snack, having to listen to the conflicting dross of the singer/songwriters that are popular in these parts, probable more because they are cheap than good! Was not offered a flyer to attend the Ibiza style foam party in the club on the hill so had a quiet night in!

    ... band playing Pink Floyd, it was a magical evening and a very late one! We left via a 2 hour high-speed catamaran to get to the big city of Salvador, although half the boat was seasick and vomiting, it didn´t bother us and although more expensive it it a much faster way to Salvador than taking a small ferry to the mainland and the bus. Salvador, finally!

    ... was to get to the ferry terminal in Salvador and then the ferry across to Bom Despacho and then a bus to Valenca before getting another boat to Boipeba. I arrived in Salvador on my flight at about 4.30pm which was a good time, but because the executive mini-buses were so infrequent and due to traffic it took me over 3 hours to get into central Salvador and the ferry terminal, by which time I could only get the 8pm ferry across to Bom Despacho which ...
