It was well worth it though, just one long street lined with grandstands where you stood and partied as the parade went past from 10pm until 6am! It was a competition between 4 Samba schools in Floripa which each have 1000s of members and apparently each school spends the whole year learning new routines, building floats and making costumes until carnaval ...
