    ... with pretty amazing views. They give new meaning to dogboxes as they are often so small but the value of the real estate must be quite high. Even in Copacobana you'll find a well located favela.

    The contrast between rich and poor can be seen everywhere. Just like the mixture of beautiful street art with graffiti. Tranquil parks and city squares can be found in most cities or towns.

    ... but it was nice to feel the breeze and hear the birds chatting away. We decided that we needed to recover before heading to Iguazu and would take it easy for a couple of days. We took a stroll along the waters edge dipping our toes in the lagoon as we went and spotted some people congregated by a shop front. The opening led us into a fabulous pop up artists' market, a guy playing guitar, people sipping on beer inbetween stall holders ...

    ... in fact open. We received helmets, tubes, life jackets, and a 2 minute safety talk in Spanglish before being whisked 3km up the river and waved goodbye with a cheerful thumbs up. I'd have given up in Morretes so kudos to Kate for persevering and gambling on everything as the ride down the river was amazing; most of the time involving bouncing off rocks and lazily drifting down river surrounded by no sounds except tropical jungle.     ... in bed and the next one we simply walked around the city. The place had a lot of potential to be very beautiful and amazing, however since the weather was grim during our stay there we could not capture this beauty.

    ... and ordered chicken burgers with the lot. They were not bad but had weird bacon on them so had to pick it off.

    When we went back to the beach we got ourselves a racquet ball set from the market shop. We were always meaning to start playing so now we can. At first we weren't very good but after a little practice we got a lot better and had some good rally's.
