Jericoacoara: Muito arenoso, ventoso e turistico

... 8217;t speak English who would take me on a motorbike instead for a good price. Never before has 50 km/h felt so fast as it does on the back of a motorbike over sand with very strong wind blowing! We had been on the road for about 15 minutes before we got to the first lake surrounded by sand dunes. It was absolutely gorgeous, and not another sole around… a dangerous place to be with a Brazilian man!

The sand around the edges of the ...

Heaven on Earth: Jericoacoara

... s we zoom off over the dunes and stop in at various locations along the way: swimming in fresh lagoons which are formed from rain water in the hollows of the dunes; creeks with adorable sea horses and massive crabs; beautiful mangrove swamps; steep dunes for sand boarding; crossing rivers on rafts buggy and all; Tatajuba: a town that had to move when it was taken over by a sand dune moving over it, until we get to the final ...

... and took care of our every need. Ingride you are the best! - Windsports. Jeff had been wanting to go to Jeri to windsurf for 10 years - ever since references to this exotic windy beach started to appear in the windsurfing magazines. There was a surprising absence of information about what to expect in this area, so we arrived with no expectations. The wind was indeed constant and the water warm and inviting. Jeri town benefited from the windsuring venue ...

... scary. Every time I would take a step I would sink down to my knees! I started to panic and hyperventilate, thinking I was in some kind of quicksand, and not thinking about emergency release methods. I finally got out of it and when I calmed down, Derek gave me a long lesson on emergency releases and self-rescue. We checked out the beach and seemed to be the only ones for as far as we could see, and I found a ...

... in the surf until it got too big. My attempt at my firts intentional jump did end with a belly slapped fall however.. It was hard to leave Jeri on the 26th. It was so convenient to just relax, be on holiday, not worry about getting anywhere or your stuff or even speak Portuguese. Basically just a lazy holiday consisting of eating, sleeping and kitesurfing. I challenge anyone to stay in Jeri for more than 3 days and not forget about time.

Lichtelijk aangeschoten duiken we vanavond voldaan ons bed in. Morgen een nieuw avontuur!
