... in the surf until it got too big. My attempt at my firts intentional jump did end with a belly slapped fall however.. It was hard to leave Jeri on the 26th. It was so convenient to just relax, be on holiday, not worry about getting anywhere or your stuff or even speak Portuguese. Basically just a lazy holiday consisting of eating, sleeping and kitesurfing. I challenge anyone to stay in Jeri for more than 3 days and not forget about time.

... dag met wat yoga-oefeningen. Dat was lang geleden! Daarna ontbijten we samen en besluiten we een stevige wandeling te gaan maken. Naast het dorp liggen twee hoge heuvels en we hopen van daaruit een mooi uitzicht over de omgeving te krijgen. We zijn blijkbaar de enigen die op dit idee zijn gekomen, want we hebben de heuvels de hele ochtend voor ons alleen. Het geeft ons een enorm gevoel van vrijheid, de wereld is even helemaal van ons! ... blijven en er valt daar nog heel veel moois te zien. Daarna gaan we door naar Suriname, een klein beetje Nederland in de tropen. Het lijkt ons een bijzondere ervaring. Als het orkaanseizoen voorbij is, gaan we de Carieb verkennen. Veel heel verschillende eilanden (zowel qua taal als wat er te beleven is) op een steenworp afstand van elkaar. Bij uitstek een gebied om te genieten van het aankomen en vertrekken! Lichtelijk aangeschoten duiken we vanavond voldaan ons bed in. Morgen een nieuw avontuur!
