... scattered over the king size bed and in the hot tub in our private garden. Did we mention SCORE!

After our welcome caipirinhas the place looked even more beautiful as we basked in the sunshine on the big, white outdoor couches. Happy days.

After a dip in the pool and a hot tub bubble bath we ventured out to explore the local area for dinner. We were aware we were on the quiet side of the peninsula but were not prepared for quite how quiet it would be with ...

Again the coastal route was amazing and Parati was as quaint and as full of character as we had imagined. The entire old town has been declared a heritage site by Unesco and it is really quite lovely. All of the buildings are painted white, with many doors painted in bright reds or blues or greens. The streets are cobbled and they lead to the ...

... up there and everything. But we found out a few weeks ago that its not even the biggest one in the world! There is a Jesus statue in Cochabamba, Bolivia which is 33m high and the one in Rio is only 30m high. So that was a little disapointing because when I was looking at the one in Rio I was thinking "man the one in Cochabamba must be massive". Were not to sure what were going to be doing for the next 2 weeks though. But well keep you all posted. see you guys in a month! ...
