... packed up and headed to the bus station where Kate confirmed speaking Spanish at people and using hand signals was enough to get by without being able to speak Portuguese. ... and had breakfast, got ready with my swim gear and couldnt wait to get to the beach . ... to Spain. This involved a 4 hour bus trip to Rio...then a 1 hour bus trip to the airport...a long wait at the airport (5 hours)...a 10 hour flight next to the fattest, smelliest man alive (sitting next to the window is ALWAYS a bad choice)...a 1 hour rush to change flights in Madrid (involving a short train ride to another terminal---Madrid airport is like a small city)...a 1 hour flight to Mallorca...a 30 minute bus ride to the train station ...

... We tried to stay for the whole night but unfortunately we faded. It was 30C at midnight and with all those people the heat was unbearable. Yesterday was 37C and I thought on a number of occasions I was going to pass out! We also stumbled across a few street parties which were really amazing too, the whole city just shuts down and has a massive party for a whole weekend, which caused us problems with food and money!
