... drove back to work (slowly but surely) with my new acquisition. The next day, I got up, got ready and took my scooter to work. Figuring it would be better to cut through the urban/residential area...I put-putted my way through the nearby neighborhoods. While making a left turn...some jackass decided he would turn with me glued to my side. He seriously did not leave me much room between his car and the sidewalk. ... until probably 3 or 4 in the morning and then went to Lapa where they had another street party with bands playing and such. The Aussies started buying more tequila shots and we partied until around 6 in the morning and went home. The next day was spent just relaxing at the beach. Well the trip finally begins! Although it started slightly more hectic than planned, although that is mostly down to the fact that there was no plan! First off me and Alison went to terminal 4, were just in the car park, having paid, when gemma rang to say it was terminal 2. So we then drove and parked in terminal 2 and met them. Turned out our flight, with united airlines, not american as we had both thought was actually in terminal 3! So ...

... because the people who were living there before had had some work done and had fixed the pre-existing leak problems the place had. Well, they didn't fix it properly I said...cuz I definitely have some major damage occurring as we speak. So, they promised they would come over when it stopped raining (IF it stopped raining) to do an assessment. ... so I figured...for a 50% decrease in my major expenses...hell yeah I'll take on a roomie! I'm somewhat worried because I am an only child and have never had a roomate before...but I am hoping that the 'we'll actually only see each other for 6 hours a week' factor will help things along. She's bringing in some good stuff too...like pots/pans and a TV. LOL. I'll actually be able to resume my cooking activities with pans in my kitchen. I will have some company ...

... Rio, where Milena (a friend from Fairview) is living right now. She is learning English so we had a fun conversation teaching each other how to say things. She also invited me to stay at her house. It is incredibly safe here as well, very surprising, its nice not to worry about money or my camera or where i walk at night. The little vans that take you anywhere you want for a dollar are the only thing that scare. I don't understand why they drive so fast, but its kinda fun at the same time.
