... offers, been followed and enough said. The hostel receptionists are locals who are very kind and protective of us all. The saffy boys had a bit of trouble and got threatened by a man wanting money for having showed them the way about 10 meters and when they called the receptionist buzzer only a word was said and they were left alone.

Everyone speaks at least Portuguese and Spanish. It makes my degree seem obsolete. Hopefully in Europe I will find ...
Salvador De Bahia, Bahia, Brazil sarbs87... from the Pelo and the streets were packed with vendors selling whatever you wanted. We bought a craptastic alarm clock for $2 since we both forgot one. My watch alarm isn't loud enough to wake us. After an hour or so we hopped on a bus to take us home, and then to the beach where we bought a coconut for its milk. Later we walked to the Farol, or lighthouse, to watch the sun set. We were a little late, but it was a pretty sight. While ...
Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil hippler... The blocos (big lorries with bands and huge sound systems on board with roped off areas for guests around them) which travel along the carnaval route and the comerotes (viewing platforms) which line the streets are hilarious expensive. They start at 100 reals or AUD$70 and go up to 1000 reals for one bloco for one day. This does not include drinks, it simply allows you into the roped off area around the bloco. Note ...
Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil shortyesquire... smile from my face. Anway, Dors is waiting for me so we can go to lunch. Flaviano has Padre Ricardos birthday tonight so tonight Dors and I hit the town together. Tomorrow we go with Ujahma to a real Samba De Roda at Rio Vermelho. He invited us. So we will make a day of going out to the beach, doing the roda and relaxing. My day off. Anyway, it can´t get better than this is all I have to say. One aside, Dors can´t believe how many people I know here now ...
Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil sooozI left Germany with a delay caused by snow and ice and now I am in the Nega Maluca Guesthouse. The flight over Marocco`s Sahara desert and Atlas mountain range was spectacular.

As I am travelling by myself I got to know a couple of people on the plane: A brazilan guy who works in Germany and is about to visit a friend who lives around the corner of my hostel. Great ...
Salvador, State of Bahia, Brazil feeling_alive... call school for the next three months and that this is just the first port. I spent to much money but had more fun than I could have imagined. But now it's time to get back to schoolwork. I have two papers due and a ton of reading to do. Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am... but I doubt it ;) P.S. I still can't upload pictures. Hopefully I can find an internet cafe in Africa or the internet on the ship gets better. Be patient cause they are worth it. Cheers, Josh
Couleurs ...
Salvador, Brazil charlyvaness... market where Luce missed Al doing a bit of Capoira (remember the BBC ads????) which is a type of dance/martial arts, as she was having one of her many pee stops. Even though Carnival finished 2 weeks ago, Salvador decided to carry on celebrating and we were treated to more street partying which mum and dad couldn't get ...
Salvador, Brazil alexandlucy... turns out to be one of the most luxurious, of not the most on this route!!! was fantastic: had 2 open bars, a Prosecco stand, and waiters circulating with drinks, a ´food hall´ that had typical Brazlian food, Japonese, fast food, Haagen-Dazs icecream, a make-up and hair stand, a mini club, nad played good music between each bloco passing...all included. Occasionally went down to the street because the atmosphere there is so contagious, and to do some ...
