    ... br> After the crew headed to a beach party then to an abandoned house party with their buddies from Namaste. They all came home around 6:00 am really hurting.

    The next day we took a 3 hour boat ride (like Gilligans island) around the islands and beaches were we could jump and swim. Recommended.

    ... also met a wonderful couple from Boston, MA. Their names were Corey and Matthew. We hung out with them on Sunday, driving around in their rented dune buggy, checking out the beaches. We opted to go to Geriba beach with their recommendation and we were glad we took it. Geriba beach is beautiful. It's long, wide and had lots of people compared to the smaller beaches on Buzios's penninsula, but the water was really clean and had great surf. ...

    ... Rio de Janeiro! OF COURSE Eh?! Why would be Scuba diving be an option? Silly me. Well just for the record folks, I did do a dive (of sorts) and it was like an olympic entry with minimal splash and worthy of 9.9 - however not really worth the 110 Reis I forked out for this **** day. Hey ho. You live and learn. Ok enjoy the piccies. Go to Rio, and stay away from Big Gay Rodrigo's boat ride. Tomorrow I'm off to Ipenema beach before the flight out to Dallas. ...

    ... from Rio who had said to get in touch when I came by. So thats what I did the first couple nights. Got taken around to all sorts of things...Lapa (Samba clubs), Santa Teresa (B-Day party), Escadaria, old aquaduct, just tons of stuff they took me around to party and see. Many "saideiras". So much fun! The subways here are surprisingly clean. Too bad they stop running at 11 or 12. There is a huge lagoon/lake near Ipanema that I walked around. ...
