    ... life ended at 21! He also said that due to no sunlight, and as they would work from 5am until 7pm and live in the basements of the houses, they also suffered from skin and eye complaints. I also went to the Slave Museum this afternoon and saw the shackles and various instruments they used on the slaves.

    ... we went back and played with the cats for a bit before catching yet another overnight bus, this time a quick seven hour jaunt to Rio. Maybe so many overnight buses this late in the trip wasn’t the best idea, the fatigue is wearing on us a bit, but Ouro Preto was a nice chill place to spend some time without overly taxing ourselves (except maybe our quads as we walked up and down the hill).     So not bad for a full days work... exercise, get married, sign for a house, find you had yet another article chapter thing accepted in a journal... just another day in paradise!

    ... of folks were walking back... not sure what happened, but I think when they turned on the tree, then tried the street decorations the whole system blew out... so the concert had to move into the auditorium of the Museum... and apparently the whole thing is set to try again tomorrow night.

    As we are getting rather used to saying here, "este pais no esta pronto para a Copa" (this country is not ready for the Copa).

    Its silly, but still good here.
