A much more relaxed night at Conveis - just Mikey, Anna, Helena and myself left, and a crazy electric storm to keep us company.

Day 13: Maranduba
Another day, where there is a risk of repetitiveness..... yep, beach, swim, beer, food, long late lunch!
The excitement today was using the kayaks to get to the beach. James (one of Mikes friends) and his daughter Maya on one kayak, with myself and Sacha (James's 4 year old son) on another ...
... to run the generators in the dry season but this proved to costly to operate and they abandoned the generating electricity about 10 years ago.
On to the "beach", however all the sand was covered with hundreds of umbrellas with tables, around which people were eating and having a great deal of fun and enjoyment. Since it was carnivale time all the 80 or so beaches around the island were packed.
Day 12: Maranduba
Struggling a bit what to say today, without sounding very repetitive......... Brekkie, beach, swim, beers, food, Caipirinhas, beers, back to Conveis for late "lunch". I love my new routine.
