A reasonably smooth if very windy road through steep green hills, the Parana pine (Araucaria) giving way to more Alpine pines for a while before we descended back into jungle. The walls of green were punctuated by lots of river, waterfalls and the omnipresent trees with both white and purple flowers – there are always more of the latter and here the blossom and colour was even more intense than previously.

Upon arrival we immediately hit the water, but we had options, we could either jump in the pool or the ocean. We of course chose both during our stay.
