... bridge on the beach. its nice. very very bohemian. they play rhasta music here and paint... i think they may be on drugs, lol. nooooooooo... but very hippie. the coolest place so far. the short guy, who is prolly going on 5 feet, is from new zealand is traveling all over but is now working here for a but cause he loves it so much. and its very safe. i was planning to head out tomorrownight to iguazu falls but its over 20 hour bus ride, and even if i take ...
Ilha Grande, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil sitzmana... scene and i needed her hep but she was being rude and they lied and said they had internet and phone cards and a phone, and a kitchen but reallly they are big fat liars and just have smelly blankets... and i was set on making contact with people at home and she was rude... so it was on... and i asked for the manager and complained and she made me feel better but i am intending ...
Ilha Grande, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil sitzmana... was incredibly difficult and the suits were really heavy. We looked like Frogmen with our hoods on. The visibility was terrible on the first dive as were spoiled by the diving we had done in Thailand. However, it was interesting seeing marine life amongst mostly rocks and not coral reefs and we saw some really interesting life: sea spiders, fake flyer fish (that reminded us of the Dilophosaurus that killed Newman in Jurassic Park because of its splayed pectoral ...
Ilha Grande, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil chiapoeWe boarded the morning bus from Paraty which would take us to Angra where we would board the boat to Ilha Grande. The bus ride was 3 hours of the most beautiful Brazilian scenery you could have wished for as the bus wound it's way along the coast of Brazil over the rocky hills of the mainland giving a superb view of some of the hundreds of islands that dot the coast of South America on its way to our next destination - Ilha Grande. We arrived at Angra at around 1 and boarded a ...
Angra Dos Reis, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil jamesburford... is a necessity, not a luxury, the road between Manaus and Belem is not really a fun drive, its extremely bumpy, because they have not really finish it, so the ferry is the quickest and easy est way to get there. We Had a choice between a cabin or hammock, the cabins were very expensive and the hammock were more reasonable,my tour leader Val, said it was really a experience being in the hammock´s and that we should at list try them ...
Paraty, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil nic.lachapelle... alone. We decide to start very early in the morning next day, 7 am, so this is how the former great night punisher that I used to be, ignores all these drunk americans in the hostel and hit the bed very early like a good boy.

... to remove a groggy Jorgos, demanded new sheets and went to shower to 'cleanse' himself. Overall a very good way to get to know people. Third Day: Went for a long hike through the Rainforest along one of the two marked trails and despite my relative lack of fitness I chose the difficult one which did turn out to be rather challenging. At times the gradient was really steep and you had to steady yourself with tree roots, crawl and avoid the liquid mud patches to make it up ...
Ilha Grande, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil gazanova... the bridge we saw her desperate on the other side. As she could not go over the bridge she just jumped into the rapids and amazingly crossed the river. Unbelievable! That was the moment when she got her name Sensa(tional)! - Around 14:00 we got to the sea level, still far from the sea itself. - Around 18:00 me, Fabricio and Rander got to Pereque and took a bus to Paraty. Sao Roque and Bia stayed at the beach for the night. - Around 23:30 we got on the bus to Sao Paulo.
Cachoeira dos veados - Perequê, Brazil gbasilio... and surrounded by forest. It's about 10 km long and it took us some 3 hours to cover it. In some points there are lots of thorny plants on the way so it's a good idea to take appropriate clothes if you are planning to take this trail. But it's undoubtedly worthwhile! The feeling of being alone in the forest is something indescribable and the variety of plants one can see there is overwhelming. Around 5:30 pm we got to Parnaioca beach. Right at the end of ...
Angra Dos Reis, Brazil gbasilio... Reis intending to catch the ferry to Ilha Grande but we missed it as there is only one ferry a day. I think the woman in Rio bus station was trying to explain this but as we didn't understand a word she was saying we just nodded and paid our fare. Trying to explain to the man at the hotel (although I'm not sure the title 'hotel' would be allowed under the Trade Description Act) that we wanted a room ...
