Day 9 - Guimaraes: Another Beautiful City!

... then off to Porto (one of the largest cities in Portugal), This is where we landed the day we arrived in Portugal)! We´ll take a guided tour of Porto with Joana (our favorite Portuguese Tour Guide, just like her Dad) and then go back to Viana do Castello to have supper at Jose & Olivias´s. Saturday we are all heading to Spain for a day of touring!!!

Well, we went to bed before midnight last night and managed to get out of bed before 10 a.m. (4 a.m. Manitoba time)! Joana had to work for 1/2 day, so Danielle & I walked to a very large mall and explored some of the many stores looking for bargains and gifts. After eating at a lovely Pizzaria we went to the Braga City Centre and toured throught the beautiful streets in the dusk. It was so pretty, with all the lights and the buzz of people out enjoying the night. Home to bed at Joana's beautiful apartment for much needed sleep (a day of walking and exploring today ~ a day of shopping tomorrow)!
