Rua de Santa Maria Guimarães, Northern Portugal, Portugal, 4801-910, 253-51-41-57
... getting to the place - one woman threatened to throw out her sat nav after taking the wrong turn numerous times. The rain continued and as the camp site only offered sites under oak trees we had a few very noisy nights with water dripping, acorns and oak apples falling on the caravan and a stream running underneath it we decided to move on.
Póvoa de Varzim, Porto, Portugal wrklein... egg, it was like hiding the flowers in your pants.

So the starter didn't go so well for me but the main was good. We both had the whitefish which was deep fried - mine with the skin, Kevin without. Mmmm mmm. They have a type of wine in Portugal called Vinho Verde, which means green wine. It's a sweeter white that's barely fizzy - it somewhat like a Reisling. After dinner, we went to the the wifi area and looked up a hotel for the next day since we weren't able to ...
Campo do Gerez, Braga, Portugal claesch... a large lake we were currently circling and start again on the road again. The first exit off the road was the first since we got on it and was 10 km away, and 15 km from the road's starting point. That was when our suspicions the GPS coordinates in the camping book were wrong were confirmed.

By the time we got off the road Kevin's temper was as thin as I've ever seen it. We had two camping books with directions to this campsite. However, both were different and ...

Barcelos, Northern Portugal, Portugal amidlifecrisis... exploring Braga a bit and doing some research for Spain. Braga is a very pretty little town a nice place to stroll around, although its a shame about the massive mcdonalds right in the middle of the centre square. Tommorow we leave to go back to Lisbon for two nights before flying to madrid on Monday. Hope you are all well, please keep the messages coming. Lots of Love xxxx
Braga, Portugal tammyjoe... us being able to walk as we couldn't get soaked as we would never have got dry or warm again. Eventually we decide to leave the park on thursday as we needed to warm up and dry out a bit, so decided to stay in Braga for a couple of nights. We wish we didn't have to leave so soon and ahve promised each other we will go back at some point. This did also unfortunately mean we had to pack our tent away wet, we really hope it is dry in Madrid. Lots of love xxxx
Campo de Geres, Portugal tammyjoe... t guess what had been said by reading the text. I soon adapted to it, but still some things were pretty funny, especially the way they translated the bad words. :) And then there was an interval right in the middle of the movie, long enough for me to forget what was going on... Still I enjoyed the movie. The next night was the carnaval party, very funny to spend the carnaval in Portugal. :) But here in Guimarães all there was was this party on ...
Guimarães, Portugal renardlovin it here.....really unique place. Porto lines the banks of the douro river as it flows into the Atlantic. The old part of the city also clings to a few very steep hills, good exercise ambling around town. Definitely a different feel to Madrid, much more laid back and although it is quite big and spread out, Ribiera (the old quarter) has a small town feel. People were super friendly and hospitable. Our Portuguese is exceedingly poor (it is a ...
